Following the devastation to this beautiful island by Hurricane Ivan in September 2004, closely followed by Hurricane Emily in July 2005, Grenada, along with its sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, has bounced back with typical resilience. The strength and determination of Grenada's people and natural environment to overcome adversity has prevailed; once again Grenada is back to its picturesque glory.
As a Grenadian living in the UK, I have regularly visited Grenada for business and pleasure over the past 20 years. I have always been in awe of Grenada's breathtaking views and for many years, I contemplated the idea of producing a book to capture this. |
| Having seen how quickly and easily this picturesque image was taken away by the forces of nature, albeit temporarily, I was inspired to make my vision a reality to celebrate the amazing beauty, character and warmth of this Caribbean jewel and those who call it home.
Visions of Grenada was born.
I believe that words are not enough to capture the magic of this island, so rather than writing about it, I have decided to let Grenada speak for itself through photographic images of its spectacular scenery and culture. The rest is up to you.
